🎟️ How Credits Work

Compass uses a simple credit system. You spend credits to unlock contacts, and your plan decides how many credits you get each month.

The basics

  • One unlock costs 10 credits. This is the same on every plan.
  • Credits come with every paid plan and refresh each month.
  • The free plan includes 0 credits, so it is browse-only. To reach a contact, you need a paid plan.
  • An unlocked contact stays yours forever, including after a plan ends. You are never charged twice for the same person.

How many unlocks you get

Because each unlock is 10 credits, your monthly credit allowance maps directly to unlocks:

Plan Credits / month Unlocks / month
Free 0 0
Starter 3,000 300
Pro 6,000 600
Team 15,000 1,500

Enterprise accounts run without a credit ceiling. See Plans & Pricing for full plan details.

Rollover

Unused credits roll over from month to month, up to a cap of two times your monthly allowance. For example, a Starter plan refreshes 3,000 credits each month and can hold up to 6,000 at once. This gives you room for a heavy month without losing what you did not use, while keeping balances from growing without limit.

Annual plans

Annual plans are billed once a year and work out cheaper than paying monthly, roughly two months free. When you start an annual plan, you receive three months of credits up front, so you can move fast in your first quarter rather than waiting for monthly refreshes.

Tracking your balance

Open the Account area to see your balance, your lifetime credits granted and spent, and a running log of every grant and unlock. Everything you have revealed lives in your unlocked vault.

What uses credits

Only unlocking a contact's details uses credits. Browsing, searching, filtering, and reading profiles, timelines, and the Network are always free, on every plan, including Free. You only spend when you choose to reach a specific person.
